**Job Title:** Pharmacy Technician
**Job Specialty:** Retail Pharmacy
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 8 Hours Rotating (Monday to Friday; 8-hour shifts 0800-1630 or 0930-1800)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
**License:** Maine Pharmacy Technician license required
**Certifications:**
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- APhA certification for immunization (preferred)
**Must-Have:**
- Comfortability to work independently
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Insurance/Billing experience
- Prescription Filling/Packaging experience
- Comfortability working and coordinating patient care with an interdisciplinary team
- Patient-facing experience
- Ability to administer immunizations (preferred)
**Job Description:**
- Work as a Pharmacy Technician in a licensed retail pharmacy.
- No drive-thru service; attached to a hospital campus.
- Independently manage tasks with support from local pharmacy management and pharmacists.
- Utilize technology and equipment such as RX Processing McKesson EnterpriseRX, POS System Emporos, and access Cerner for viewing.
- No floating requirements.
- Participate in a structured orientation process based on experience, approximately 2 weeks.
- Follow a dress policy of professional attire; branded clothing will be provided.
- Expectation to observe holiday closures for major holidays; minor holiday work may be required.
- Approval of time off is managed through the pharmacy manager.
The pharmacy does not operate over weekends or require on-call duty
