**License:** Must hold an active license or plan to test in the near future as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work
**Certifications:** Must maintain and update PT skills and certifications as necessary
**Must-Have:** Proficiency in DX and ICD-10 coding for the billing of services.
**Job Description:**
- Implement patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.
- Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Ensure accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, authorizations, etc.
- Engage in scheduling and patient follow-up tasks, working closely with administrative staff.
- Demonstrate necessary computer skills including typing, word processing, internet usage, and proficiency with EMR systems.
- Make independent decisions regarding patient care.
- Participate in business marketing and referral processes as necessary.
- Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures to protect patient privacy.
- Be familiar with physical therapy billing policy and procedures.
- Ensure physical capability to be mobile, including stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour work days.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient mobility and safety.
- Maintain alertness for resident safety.
- Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
