Physical Therapy Assistant needed for acute hospital setting in Dorchester, MA!



13 weeks

8-hour day shifts

M/W/F: 8AM-4:30PM

T/TH: 10:30AM-7PM

Must have 2+ years as PTA and 1 year in an acute care setting

Preferred experience: Familiarity in working with pt in a fast paced hospital setting, ICU exp, working with diverse pt populations, EPIC

Must have MA license in-hand and CPR certification



Department Details: IP Rehab is made up of PT and OT. We provide coverage throughout IP floors. Pt seen include birth - elderly, can have varying impairments related to musculoskeletal, neuro, cardiopulmonary, & post-surgical diagnoses. Must be familiar with the acute care hospital setting, have excellent pt handling skills & transfer techniques, good communicator, comfortable working with other members of the team (i.e. nursing, MD, Case management), strong time management skills, self-directed, flexible & able to multitask. Goal productivity is 6 hours in an 8-hour day. Assistants usually manage a patient list of 8-10 pt and are usually able to see between 7-9 pt.
