Job Summary
The Group’s Accounting & Finance Team is currently seeking a Travel & Procurement Agent to join its Travel & Procurement Unit. This unit provides a wide variety of services to the organization, including event planning, business travel arrangements for employees, expense report auditing and supply chain management. This role will have a primary focus of supporting the Sales Distribution department by handling association memberships, tradeshow/convention registrations and other event requests as submitted. This role will participate in these activities as well as others and is an excellent career-building opportunity for a self-motivated, flexible, and energetic team player. In addition to the daily operational activity in which this role will take part, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help develop optimum solutions for business challenges in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities to Anticipate
- Executing/managing association memberships and tradeshow registrations
- Manage business travel for employees
- Planning other Sales Distribution events/activities as requested
- Establish and maintain supplier/vendor relationships
- Supplier/vendor contract management and negotiation
- Ensure compliance with procurement and expense reporting policies and procedures
- Assist in preparing requisitions for various goods and services
- Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers
- Ensure compliance with key internal control procedures
Qualifications the Successful Candidate is Expected to Have
- Hospitality industry experience in meeting planning, working with associations, sales or operations
- Experience in contract negotiations
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgement to make decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Suite
