Job Responsibilities: Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients as per physician orders, ensuring the highest image quality and patient safety
Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process, addressing concerns, and positioning them correctly for accurate imaging
Monitor and assess patients during MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to all safety protocols
Maintain detailed and accurate records of procedures, including patient data, imaging results, and any observed abnormalities
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment plans
Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment, troubleshooting any issues, and coordinating with technical support as needed
Adhere to radiation safety standards and practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and radiation dosimeters
Provide patient care by recognizing and responding to emergency situations during imaging procedures
Job Requirements: Strong understanding of MRI imaging procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Proficiency with computers and radiology information systems (RIS) for accurate data entry and image management
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, and standing for extended periods
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a specialization in MRI (ARRT-MR)
Active [STATE] Radiology Technologist License in good standing
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Tech - MRI or in a similar role
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems
