THIS IS A CT/X-RAY TECH POSITION - PRIMARILY CT WILL BE NEEDED FOR THIS POSTING, BUT X-RAY EXPERIENCE IS ALSO REQUIREDPLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD A TRAVELER TO THIS ASSIGNMENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANOTHER PERM PLACEMENT OR TRAVEL ASSIGNMENT. PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD A TRAVELER TO ANY NEED ON MY DESK WHO IS GOING TO REQUEST SCHEDULE ACCOMMODATIONS (Block scheduling, etc). Thank you! Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or NARH Facility Director. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel or as determined by Manager or Director. Excellent communication skills in written, verbal and Tiger Text format required. Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications. Completes annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required. Technologist will be required to perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks including IV insertion and injections.
