Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care
Location: United States (Wyomning, South Dakota, Nevada, Washington, Minnesota, Nebraska, Massachusetts)
Position Type: Contract
Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to residents in a long-term care facility. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care and improve the overall well-being of residents. Your role will involve administering medications, managing care plans, and offering emotional support to both residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Assess and monitor patients’ health conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform wound care, catheter management, and other specialized nursing tasks.
Care Coordination:
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers about care plans, progress, and changes in health status.
- Document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in electronic health records.
Emergency Response:
- Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
Resident Support:
- Offer emotional support and education to residents and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and care routines.
- Promote a comfortable and safe environment for residents.
Compliance and Standards:
- Adhere to facility policies, state regulations, and federal guidelines.
- Ensure all care provided is compliant with safety and quality standards.
Education and Training:
- Mentor and supervise nursing assistants and other junior staff members.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Education and Licensure:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be preferred or required depending on facility.
Experience:
- Previous experience in long-term care or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex care situations and make critical decisions.

- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in using electronic health records and other healthcare technologies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
