Job DetailsA hospital in Vermont is looking for an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment.The ideal candidate works well independently and is flexible with scheduling.Must have experience with both peds and adults.Shift is 1 24-hour shift 7a-7a and 2 8-hour shifts.RT should be flexible as schedule will change based on the needs of client.8-hour shifts could be day, evenings.For 24-hour shift, RT will be on in-house on call from 1am-6am.During this time, if they are 'called', they will receive a minimum of 4 hours call back no matter how long the call is.The ideal candidate is experienced in an acute care setting, capable of working independently and is a self-starter.RT will be on shift by themselves.
Job Requirements3+ years of acute care experience (including ER, Inpatient units and birthing center)Travel experienceACLS, BLS, PALS and NRPNational Certification and VT licenseMust be able to intubate, draw and run blood gasesHave experience with peds as well as adultsMinimum 3 years ACUTE CARE experience - previous traveling experience preferred.Need to be able to intubate.Need independent, self-starter, clinically competent therapist.Responsible for all inpatient departments.Need to be able to critically think and potentially prioritize multiple emergencies at once.

Unit Specific InformationNebs, O2, ABG/ VBG, BiPAP, Vents, intubations are performed procedures.LTV vents, Servoi vent, V60 BiPAP, Radiometer ABL 80 Co-Ox ABG analyzers, CERNER EHR are utilized equipment.Need to handle CPAP for neonates.
