About this Position
Position/Specialty: Adult RRT- Ashley River Tower
Shift: Will work 3x12hr shifts 7p-7:30a with holidays required
Weekend REQ: Every other weekend
Is on-call REQ? No
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Only floating, if any, would possibly be to Main Hospital- adult population with same policies, equipment, and charting requirements.
Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No

Years of experience REQ: at least 2 years Critical Care Exp
First-timers accepted: No
Certs/Lic Required: NBRC RRT cert, BLS, ACLS
Certification/Licenses accepted: NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider)
Experience Required: RRT Adult critical care experience
Radiation Badge REQ: No

Open to accommodating block schedule? Approval prior to assignment, but not guaranteed.
Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate
Pending State License accepted: RRT SC license must be in hand at time of start
RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager/units needs.
Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

MUSC Ashley River Tower has nearly 200 beds, including 2 ICUs, 2 step-down floors, 4 general acute care floors, and a 21-bed emergency department.
• Cardiovascular ICU- 21 beds
• Postop Cardiac, Thoracic, & Complex Vascular Surgery Patients
• Heart & Lung Transplant, Durable LVAD
• Temporary Mechanical Circulatory Support
• ECMO, IABP, & Impella
• Complex Cardiology Patient
• Post Cardiac arrest, Acute Myocardial Infarction, Decompensated Heart Failure
• Medical-Surgical ICU- 18 beds
• Mix Medical & Abdominal Surgical Patients
• ARDS, Septic Shock, Hematologic & Oncologic Emergencies
• GI Hemorrhage, Pulmonary Hypertension, Perforated Viscous
**Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.**
