Travel RN-ER & Med/Surg

Location: Glendive, MT

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner hospital in Glendive, MT. This travel assignment offers the unique opportunity to work in both the Emergency Room (ER) and Med/Surg units, showcasing your versatility and providing critical care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• ER:
  • Deliver rapid and efficient care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies.
  • Perform comprehensive triage assessments, initiate appropriate interventions, and closely monitor patient response.
  • Administer medications and treatments, including emergency procedures and life-saving interventions, as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and their families during stressful situations, providing compassionate support and education.
• Med/Surg:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with various medical and surgical needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient response, and document accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Montana or a compact state license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in both ER and Med/Surg settings preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to different units and patient populations.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
