**Job Title:** Respiratory Therapist

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour nights, every other weekend
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years; will consider less with high-acuity and recent ICU experience
Prefer NICU experience.
**License:** Valid license required; open to RRT or CRT.
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NRP
**Must-Have:** Recent ICU experience is a must
Strong skill set and prefer NICU experience.
**Job Description:**
- Perform 30-40 respiratory treatments per day on the floor.
- Manage ICU vents per acuity; COVID vents range from 3-4 per therapist, while non-COVID can be up to 6.
- Responsible for drawing, running, and reporting ABGs using Siemens Analyzer.
- Assist with intubation and bronchoscopy; no direct intubation or art line placement required.
- Cover areas including surgery, cath lab, ER (manage airways), ICU, and medical-surgical units
No outpatient treatments.
- Collaborate with in-house hospitalist and intensivist 24/7.
- Complete department-specific orientation with three 12-hour shifts accompanied by a preceptor.
- Open to floating to all areas of the hospital.
- Utilize equipment including Draeger V500 for adults, NICU VN 500, HT70 transport vent, V60 bipap, Intellipap, and Fisher Paykel high flow.
- Flexible weekend requirement: every other weekend, with the option to accommodate all weekends if desired.
- Holiday requirement: work one winter and one summer main holiday; opportunity to cover smaller holidays.
- Opportunity available (but not required) to pick up call shifts.
- Dress code includes any color professional scrubs; hospital-provided OR scrubs are optional.
- Utilize Allscripts - Sunrise 6.1 charting system.
- No self-scheduling, though block scheduling is available, with schedules released six weeks in advance.
