Job Title: Girls U17 Soccer Team Head Coach
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dynamic Head Coach for our 2007 Girls Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) team. This role presents an opportunity to create an inclusive environment that emphasizes player development and enjoyment. Reporting to the Director of Coaching, the Head Coach will collaborate closely with operational, field assignor, and administrative teams.

This role presents an opportunity to create an inclusive environment that emphasizes player development and enjoyment. Reporting to the Director of Coaching, the Head Coach will collaborate closely with operational, field assignor, and administrative teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Practice and Game Readiness:
- Develop and implement engaging practice plans.
- Emphasize both individual and team skills enhancement.
- Ensure thorough match preparation, focusing on strategic and tactical aspects.
Player Assessments:
- Deliver comprehensive player evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback for individual improvement.
Player Selection Support:
- Collaborate in assessing and selecting players during annual tryouts.
Punctuality and Professionalism:
- Attend all scheduled events promptly.
- Dress in appropriate club attire.
- Act as a positive representative within the local community.
Winter Training Sessions:
- Conduct a minimum of two weekly winter practices from December to March 1st.
- Thursday Practice Nights: 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM - School Gym, Manhattan West Side in the 60's.
- Flexible weekend practice schedule.
Spring Season (March 1st to June 1st):
- Primary practice location at Randalls Island.
- Two weekday evening practice sessions.
- One Saturday practice session.
- Sunday games.
- Participation in two tournaments: one in early March or April and one over Memorial Day weekend.
Compensation:
- Competitive compensation based on experience and credentials.
- Coach's Kit: Includes club attire and practice equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience with youth soccer teams, preferably at the U17 level.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Passionate about player development and fostering a positive team culture.
