**Job Title:** Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)
**Job Specialty:** Inpatient/Outpatient Rehabilitation
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Days, 8-hour shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 24 hours per week, with the chance for up to 32 hours weekly
**Experience:** Minimum 3 years of recent inpatient experience, experience in a critical access facility required
**License:** State Licensure in Vermont
**Certifications:** BLS (AHA)
**Must-Have:**
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Own vehicle for transportation
- Willingness to work two of the following periods: Thanksgiving and the weekend after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the weekend after, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and the weekend after
**Job Description:**
- Work with inpatients and outpatients, primarily adults, with neurological conditions
- Conduct assessments and provide treatments focusing on voice modulation, communication retraining, swallowing retraining, and cognitive retraining
- Handle a high volume of patients
- Participate in non-billable orientation for 8 hours
- Required to work every other weekend and holidays if needed
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Complete a skills checklist pertinent to the position, current to within 1 year, and provide one supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
Note: Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified before the start of the assignment; no more than 5 days will be accepted, and less is preferred.
