- Ability to frequently transport objects over 50 lbs and assist with patients
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, strong problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to concentrate on fine detail and manage multiple tasks
**Job Description:**
- Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures
- Understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeons
- Ensure quality patient care during operative procedures and maintain sterile technique
- Perform nursing procedures as per policy
- Check supplies and equipment prior to surgical procedures
- Scrub, set up, count, and assist intra-operatively
- Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique
- Assist surgeons and registered nurses with post-procedure care
- Handle specimens appropriately and prepare instruments for decontamination
- Assist with preparing and picking operating room cases
- Follow policies and procedures for Infection Control and Fire Code
- Identify malfunctioning equipment and follow patient safety standards
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Complete competency requirements and attend all mandatory in-services
- Utilize cost containment practices and complete continuing education credits as required by state law
- Perform all other related duties as assigned

- Pediatric (1 to 12 years)
- Adolescent (13 to 17 years)

- Patients with developmental delays
- Patients at the end of life
- Patients under isolation precautions
- Patients with cultural needs
