Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient rations, and other unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff. Data Collection : Unit Information: Operating Room Location: St. David’s Medical Center 919 E. 32 nd St., Austin, TX Building: Main Building Floor: 2 nd floor Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 70179 Discipline: RN’s and Certified Surgical Technicians ; Cardiac RN and CST Quantity: Target Start Date: Shift: Call Requirements – 4 to 5 shifts per 6 week period min. and 4 to 5 late shifts per 6 week period. Weekends: Shifts available General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds – 22 OR’s ; Not a trauma hospital · Number of Staff – 80 · Type of staff: o Day Shift – ( example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters) Staff to run 22 OR’s. One team in house at all times. o Night Shift – 1 Team in house 24/7 · Patient Ratios – 1:1 · Type of equipment – Robotics, Cardiac, Vascular, Neuro, Spine, Oncology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Urology, GYN · EMR – Meditech · Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) – Y; surgical technicians, Night Shift Weekend Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) CST’s and RN – night weekend Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Certification is a MUST for CST’s · Neuro/Spine experience · For Cardiac Service line – MUST have CARDIAC experience Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Multiple service lines; ortho, neuro, general, robotic · List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Appy’s, Chole’s, Spine fusion, Total Joints, Crani’s, Mastectomies, DIEP Flaps · Best personality Fit: · Flexible, team work, self-directed, positive · Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. · Scrub Color - We provide scrubs. Closed toe and heeled shoes required – non-slip · Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. · Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc. · Birthday of the month, Dept recognition by peers/leaders, brag board. · Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. * Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent .
