Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Endoscopy Technician to join our team as a traveler. In this role, you will support endoscopic procedures across various healthcare facilities, assisting physicians and nurses in delivering quality patient care. As a Travel Endoscopy Tech, you will prepare and maintain equipment, assist with patient care, and ensure a safe and efficient environment for each procedure.
Key Responsibilities
Procedure Assistance: Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and other GI procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
Equipment Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare and set up endoscopy equipment and instruments, performing routine checks, cleaning, and sterilization to meet safety and regulatory standards.
Patient Preparation and Support: Prepare patients for procedures, provide clear explanations, and ensure comfort and support throughout the process.
Specimen Collection and Handling: Assist in the collection, labeling, and documentation of biopsy specimens, following facility protocols for accurate handling and transport.
Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation, adhering to facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care in diverse clinical environments.
Qualifications
Certification: Certified Endoscopy Technician (CET) or relevant certification preferred; compliance with any state-specific licensure requirements.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician in a clinical setting.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of endoscopic equipment, sterilization procedures, and infection control practices.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to different healthcare settings and patient populations.
