**Job Title:** EEG Technologist 1

**Shift:** Days M-F: 7:30AM-4:00PM (5x8 Hr)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** New grads welcome or 2 years of EEG/EMU hands-on experience
**License:** American Board of Registration of EEG/EP Technologists (ABRET)
**Certifications:** BLS (American Heart Association)
**Must-Have:** High School Diploma or GED, Graduate of CAAHEP accredited EEG program
**Job Description:**
- Provide findings, results, and descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures
- Perform procedures appropriate to competence and credentials under general technical supervision
- Clean and disinfect equipment with appropriate solutions, following infection control policies
- Complete all types of neurodiagnostic tests and document appropriate data in patient charts and lab files
- Explain tests and procedures to patients to obtain optimal results and notify Neuroscience physician as needed for abnormal EEG tracings
- Perform accurate documentation and all types of EEGs, including ambulatory, bedside, electrical cerebral silence, and standard lab EEGs
- Prepare patients for examinations and communicate age-appropriate information
- Troubleshoot equipment and follow division policy to arrange repair service when indicated
- Demonstrate organizational ability and effective communication to work collaboratively with others
- Exhibit ability to accept and implement changes, and demonstrate essential technical knowledge and skills.
