Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is required
Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable
Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations
Utilize cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures to anatomical and pathological information
Use independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings during exams
Analyze sonograms, synthesize information, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician
Coordinate work schedule with the Departmental Director to ensure workload coverage
Ensure the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients in care
Assist with daily operations and maintenance of the sonographic laboratory and equipment
Maintain a daily log of patients and complete exam billing forms
Establish and maintain ethical working relationships and rapport with hospitals, referral, or commercial agencies
Provide in-service education on sonographic procedures as requested by the healthcare team
Position Requirements:
Effectively operate sonographic equipment
Use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed
Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the attending physician
Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication with the public and healthcare team
Work efficiently and cope with emergencies
