- X-ray technicians play a crucial role in the healthcare system by producing high-quality diagnostic images that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
- Involves operating X-ray equipment to create images of patients' internal organs, bones, and tissues.
- X-ray techs must ensure that patients are properly positioned for imaging and that the equipment is set up correctly to obtain clear images.
- X-ray techs must adhere to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, themselves, and other medical staff.
- This includes using lead aprons, shields, and other protective equipment, as well as following proper procedures for radiation exposure reduction.
