Traveling Field Service Engineer - relocation to Washington, DC - ProAutomated Inc.

The candidate for this job will need to live in the Washington, DC area - relocation assistance available.

The below job is 100% travel (no office work or remote work available).

Starting salary is $60,000 - 75,000 based on location, education, and experience.

We’re looking for people who think critically, communicate effectively, and love seeing a project through to completion. You’ll travel regionally and across the country, getting your hands dirty programming and troubleshooting cutting-edge smart lighting systems and equipment.

Candidate requirements to set you up for success:

• Desire to travel - this job is 100% travel. (New York on Monday, Boston on Tuesday, Chicago Wed - Friday, home Saturday/Sunday is an example schedule)
• Comfortable adapting to same-day and next-day changes to project scope and location
• Must live within 50 miles of a major international airport
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think clearly and logically through complex situations
• Must own a car within 45 days of employment with ProAutomated
• Must be authorized to work in the US for US positions
• Recommended: Electrical experience/education or technical field background

What you will love doing:

• Ensuring systems are installed correctly (sensors & equipment are calibrated and wired properly)
• Addressing and solving problems with confidence
• Simple field programming & testing
• Training customers on how to operate the system
