B&L Construction Inc is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all on-site activities for our construction projects. The Project Superintendent plays a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of projects by managing work quality, safety, schedules, and communication with all stakeholders.

- Project Coordination: Review and coordinate all work on the job site to ensure project success.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with the B&L Project Manager, subcontractors, material suppliers, and the client's team (management, administration, operations, and vendors).
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce job safety protocols and ensure compliance with government laws and regulations.
- Construction Documents: Read and interpret construction documents such as plans, scopes of work, contract agreements, and operational manuals.
- Quality Control: Inspect work in progress to ensure it complies with specifications and meets or exceeds the standards of our clients and B&L Construction.
- Schedule Management: Review job progress, adjust tasks to keep the project on schedule, and plan ahead by coordinating contractors and material deliveries.
- Documentation: Take daily and weekly photos, conduct weekly safety meetings, and complete weekly updates and reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Continue to learn the role and responsibilities of the position, increasing initiative from project to project.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in restaurant and retail construction is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Must be able to do basic math, use a tape measure, and basic hand tools. Proficiency in using a computer and smartphone for general correspondence is required. Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Communication: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively by phone and email.
- Understanding: Understand the project requirements, the expectations of our company, and the expectations of the client.
- Professionalism: Be respectful, professional in communications and personal appearance, and honest. Our team needs to trust one another, and the only way we can help right a wrong is to know the truth.
- License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
- Travel: Travel will be required for this position.
