Gorsuch & Associates, employees of the Law Department of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, is seeking an attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation and trial experience with exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, the rules of evidence, no fault, and trial strategy to join our Southfield, MI office. - Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, superior oral advocacy and writing skills, and the ability to manage a caseload where work is time sensitive. - The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Must have an active license to practice law in Michigan and be a member in good standing
- with the state bar
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferably in insurance defense including experience handling No Fault/PIP, Bodily Injury, and Premises Liability litigation
- Jury trial experience is a plus
- Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
- Experience working in a paperless environment
