Trial Attorney (Hybrid)
Career Consulting Partners has formed a partnership with one of the largest injury firms in the state of California which has been in business for over 30 years. Our firm is seeking a Trial Attorney to work with our personal injury department with some exposure to workers' compensation, and employment law departments. Our office is located in Downtown Los Angeles near the Wilshire Center.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Trial Attorney with a proven track record of success in personal injury litigation to join our high-volume law firm. The ideal candidate will possess significant trial experience and be passionate about representing clients who have been injured due to negligence. This role requires handling a large caseload, preparing cases for trial, and delivering strong results in the courtroom.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Lead and manage a large caseload of personal injury claims from intake through trial.
- Litigate complex personal injury cases in state and federal courts, with a strong focus on trial work.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and all trial preparations, including filing motions, preparing pleadings, and handling discovery.
- Develop case strategies and build strong client relationships, ensuring that clients are well-informed throughout the litigation process.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure efficient case management and preparation.
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate while maintaining readiness to take cases to trial if necessary.
- Conduct jury trials, presenting compelling arguments and evidence to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Maintain expert knowledge of laws, regulations, and trends in personal injury and tort law.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and a valid license to practice law in California.
- Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience, with a focus on trial experience.
- Significant courtroom and trial experience, including jury trials (10+ trials preferred).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present arguments and case facts persuasively.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes in settlement negotiations.
- Ability to manage a large caseload and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- High attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Client-focused mindset with the ability to empathize with and advocate for injured clients.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Base Compensation: $180,000 - $275,000
- Plus Commission Pay/Attorney Fees
