East Bay company seeking a Truck Shop Foreman to join our truck shop.
Monday to Friday shift
$34 - 42/hour
- Provide management for daily activities of vehicle repair and maintenance operation to ensure proper performance, repair and safety of all truck and trailer equipment
- Overall responsibility to ensure equipment exceeds DOT and OSHA specifications
- Manage, lead, train and provide technical expertise to shop technicians
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair components on diesel truck/trailer equipment
- Maintain equipment by performing diagnostics using various electric test equipment such as scanner, and on-board computers
- Manage fleet preventive maintenance and component replacement program
- Diagnose and repair lighting and electrical system
- Replace rail cables, cylinders, motors, pumps and relays
- Responsible for air brake inspections and repairs including air brake overhauls
- Adjust lift gate platform and controls in rail gate
- Weld and replace suspension components and landing legs
- Repair dry and refrigerated vans, including roll & swing doors, interiors, exteriors, ceilings, and roofs
- Manage systems and equipment data and ensure high levels of standards and accuracy
- Monitor and record the completion of tasks
- Maintain company standards for safety compliance

Requirements
- 5 years of experience repairing diesel truck and trailer equipment including major repairs
- 3 years of experience leading and managing a maintenance operation of a truck shop
- Experience must include at least 3 years of repairing Carrier refrigeration units
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with performing PM’s, BIT and DOT Inspections
- Experience using computers including diagnostic equipment
- Must have a valid CA Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Brake certification highly preferred
- Ability to analyze, define, problem solve and prioritize while remaining organized
- Must have strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of lighting, electrical systems, suspension, and alignment
