As a Truss Designer you will play a pivotal role in creating precise and efficient truss designs for various construction projects. You will collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure that our client’s truss designs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities for Truss Designer:
- Utilize advanced software and tools to design and draft truss systems.
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop truss designs that comply with industry standards and local building codes.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Perform load calculations to ensure truss systems can withstand anticipated stresses.
- Generate detailed truss layout drawings, including specifications and materials lists.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all truss designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to truss design.
Qualifications for Truss Designer:
- Bachelor's in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Truss Designer in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in truss design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
