Job DescriptionUnder direction of the Quality Control Supervisor, using standard processes and continuous improvements, the Quality Control Inspector tests components, identifies discrepancies in parts and products, and documents findings in a timely and efficient manner that meet the quality standards to ensure the delivery of world-class products to Tyler Customers.
1. Perform inspections of raw materials and work-in-process parts in all areas of manufacturing and at various stages of the production processes.
2. Perform visual and dimensional inspection with tight tolerance of 1st articles and set up parts to conform to current standard requirements and engineer drawings.
3. Document and report accurate results and maintain records of all inspections performed.
4. Identify and put on hold all non-conforming raw materials, parts, and products, segregate and document findings.
5. Test the performance of clamp assemblies and couplings to determine compliance to company and regulatory requirements in terms of Pre-Torque, Torque, etc. Record and report results of tests performed.
6. Report and maintain constant communication with the Quality Control Manager and/or Supervisor on all quality-related issues in daily production.
7. Communicate and work closely with the concerned team members (Lead, Machine Operator, Mechanic, etc), and make recommendations for corrective actions on any materials, parts, and products that do not meet quality requirements.
8. Participate in trials resulting from modifications in machine parts (die) and settings, new raw materials, processes, and machines through standard inspection and testing.
9. Work with Quality Control Engineer to maintain calibration for test fixtures and tooling, according to required specifications.
10. Assist with daily production operations when required.
11. Keep work area clean and organized.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Lead.
