About This Position
In keeping with Marian Medical Center health care philosophy the Unit Clerk/EKG Technician serves as a unit receptionist for the Respiratory Services Department.
Answers the telephone and takes messages. Maintains and orders department supplies and inventory as directed. Responsible for scheduling designated department procedures (PFT or Bronchoscopes). Enters data for department billing. Performs EKGs for in-patients and out-patients of all ages (neonate to geriatric). Is responsible for the processing filing and maintaining of EKG reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of approved Unit Clerk course or equivalent (i.e Medical Assistant)
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Individuals without acute care experience will be considered on an individual basis
