We are seeking a UI Front End Developer to join our team in Ashburn, Virginia.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Unissant is seeking a UI Front End Developer with Spring Boot and Microservices experience for a multi-year contract to support the ongoing modernization and maintenance of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) information systems, using JAVA/JEE.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement JEE software applications.
- Use modern software engineering tools and methodologies, including Eclipse, and Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence)
- Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand requirements, then elicit feedback and refine solutions through demonstrations
- Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews, and document the design according to the Government's system lifecycle methodology
Work Experience:
- 3 years of experience in Single Page Application Development using JavaScript framework (angular 8+ or ReactJS 5+)
- 1 + year experience in Java/JEE (required)
- Experience working with JEE Web Tier Technologies (JSP, Servlets, MVC Frameworks)
- Experience working with JEE Servers (like Spring boot, Tomcat, WebSphere, etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise in software engineering practices (e.g., reading/generating software specs, design patterns, continuous integration)
- Experience in building quick prototypes that demonstrate ideas and potential in a hands-on environment.
- Experience in developing reusable components, routers, and modules.
- Experience developing 100% automation unit tests using eclipse is a strong plus
- Experience designing and delivering complex, highly scalable software components.
- Experience working with users to define requirements and demonstrate solutions.
- Experience working in an AWS and microservices environment.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in a Docker environment a plus
- Agile development experience is a plus.
- First-hand experience working with large project teams (working with the Federal Government is a strong plus)

- Ability to develop and maintain components with stringent performance requirements.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with applicable experience is required. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- This federal program requires the candidates to be a United States Citizen
- Must have a current CBP BI clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
Communication Skills:
- Solid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Must work well in a matrixed team environment.
Travel:
- Travel to customer site in Ashburn, VA as needed for meetings.
Environmental Requirements:
- Mainly sedentary; in an office environment
- May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
- Flexible in working extended hours.
