Job Description:
Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:
Looking for a company that inspires passion, courage and creativity, where you can be on the team shaping the future of global commerce? Want to shape how millions of people buy, sell, connect, and share around the world? If you're interested in joining a purpose driven community that is dedicated to crafting an ambitious and inclusive work environment, join eBay a company you can be proud to be with.
Who We Are
TCGplayer, now a part of eBay, connects hobbyists and hobby businesses: we relentlessly pursue customer-focused innovations to provide the most compelling destination and tools for collectible card game enthusiasts and professional sellers. We're dedicated to serving the global collectible community millions of buyers and tens of thousands of retailers representing a $25B hobby market.
We are looking for a highly collaborative and motivated UX Designer II to join our Seller Experience Team, a cross-functional group working on one of TCGplayer's top strategic priorities: supporting the success and growth of hobby sellers around the world. Together, you'll look critically at how our product experiences delight our customers while also fitting our business goals. You'll have the opportunity to show your diverse UX background throughout the entire product design process. TCGplayer's User Experience Research, Strategy & Design Team is a dynamic team of mixed method UX Research and Data Strategists, multi-disciplined UX Designers, and Copywriters. Our mission is to promote a culture of design thinking that results in useful, scalable, engaging and TCGplayer brand-worthy products. We champion a human-centered approach to product design, and advocate for our customers as we build alongside product and technology teammates.
If you're enthusiastic about beautiful, user-centered design that is heavily rooted in quantitative data and qualitative insights, and have experience leading design initiatives across the entire product lifecycle within a cross-functional team, this is an excellent opportunity! Our team prides itself on a culture that fosters camaraderie, embraces diversity, and exudes passion.
You don't have to be a hobbyist or gamer to love working at TCGplayer, but you should be comfortable embracing (and amplifying!) our commitment to making hobbies and games accessible, fun, and rewarding for everyone.
Essential Functions
As a UX Designer II on the Seller Experience team, you will
Rapidly prototype, build and ideate on seller tool and product designs informed by user needs, data, business objectives and technical capabilities; resulting in scalable experiences that can be adopted by multiple groups and span across multiple channels of the business.
Serve as subject matter expert on small business hobby and collectible sellers' practices, experience needs, and UX solutions for their long-term success.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with engineering, product and business partners to find solutions that meet the needs of both the business and customers.
Create solutions with the appropriate level of detail and fidelity for every UX phase of the product development life cycle, actively scaling design assets from simple sketches, design concepts, high-fidelity wireframes, clickable prototypes and final annotated design deliverables.
Design for accessibility standards and help to maintain standardized design language systems.
Work closely with UX Researchers/Strategists on testing protocol, collection and synthesis of customer insights to ensure UX solutions are aligned to customer expectations.
Help create new design processes to improve the quality of products delivered while increasing the speed of delivery.
