Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Ultrasonographers to join our network of healthcare professionals. As an Ultrasonographer contracted through our staffing agency, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, imaging centers, and physician offices. This flexible role offers the freedom to choose assignments based on your availability and preferences.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients to produce high-quality images of internal organs, tissues, and structures.
Operate ultrasound equipment and accessories, ensuring proper settings and techniques are used to obtain optimal imaging results.
Position patients appropriately and provide clear instructions to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort.
Evaluate ultrasound images for quality, clarity, and diagnostic value, and identify any abnormalities or discrepancies that may require further evaluation.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns to alleviate anxiety and promote cooperation.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare providers to review imaging findings, discuss patient care plans, and ensure comprehensive and accurate diagnoses.
Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging studies, interpretations, and clinical documentation, in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program.
Current and valid certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred.
Minimum of one year of clinical experience as an Ultrasonographer in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in performing abdominal, obstetric/gynecologic, vascular, and/or echocardiographic ultrasound examinations.
Strong technical skills and knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
