Ultrasound Sonographer - Virtus Healthcare Staffing, LLC

Location: Boston, MA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Sonographer to provide mobile ultrasound services in the Boston area. This role involves traveling to various locations, including nursing homes, home care facilities, and prisons, to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Responsibilities:

• Transport & Setup: Transport and set up portable sonographic equipment at patient locations.
• Perform Ultrasound Examinations: Conduct and process ultrasounds using portable equipment, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images. Digitally transmit images to radiologists for interpretation.
• Documentation & Billing: Scan exam-related paperwork and billing accurately and promptly.
• Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with peers, management, dispatch, and clients.
• Additional Duties: Fulfill all other responsibilities as outlined in the full job description, Associate Handbook, or as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Certification: ARDMS Certified

Physical Demands:

• Lifting the Equipment Bag (18-20 lbs) into/out of the vehicle and/or wheeled cart.
• Pulling the wheeled cart with the Equipment Bag for up to 250 feet (initial force of 10 lbs, sustained force of 5-8 lbs).
