Sonographer - Women's Health

Location: Burlington, VT

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Sonographer specializing in Women's Health to join our partner Medical Center in Burlington, VT. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled and compassionate professional to contribute to a dynamic team, providing essential diagnostic imaging services to women.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasounds within the Women's Health department, focusing primarily on OB/GYN examinations.
• Utilize sophisticated ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images, taking into account individual patient needs and potential complications.
• Work independently and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, addressing their questions and concerns, and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, assisting in the mentorship and education of staff at all levels.

Qualifications:

• Must-Haves:

  • Advanced Certification: ARDMS OB/GYN Certified
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic Sonography program
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of scanning experience outside of clinical, specifically in OB/GYN.

• Nice-to-Haves:

  • MFM (Maternal-Fetal Medicine) experience
  • Strong team player mentality
  • Effective communication skills
  • Critical thinking abilities during scanning
