Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Receive patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort during examinations.
• Ultrasound Imaging: Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
• Image Quality: Optimize image quality through proper technique selection and utilization of advanced imaging technology.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other team members to ensure accurate diagnoses and timely treatment planning.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, documenting procedures and findings.
• Additional Duties: Assist radiologists with interventional procedures as ordered (e.g., paracentesis, needle aspirations/biopsy).

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasonography required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Certification and Licensure:
  • Must be certified in one of the following within 10 days of hire:
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography (S)
    • Vascular Sonography (VS)
    • ARRT (R) with a KY License
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
    • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
    • Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
    • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience:
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ultrasound equipment operation and image processing software.
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Schedule:

• Shift: Wednesday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
