Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasonography

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technician to join our Ultrasonography Dept. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic images.
Responsibilities:- Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients following established protocols.
- Adjust and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, providing preliminary findings to healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to discuss imaging results.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and procedures.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital/acute care setting or satisfactory completion of a full rotation at Northridge Hospital ultrasound department within the last year required.
- Satisfactory completion of formal Ultrasound technology training in an AMA approved school; AA degree in Ultrasound Technology in an AMA approved school required.
- Computer skills required.
- Current ARDMS required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification required.
- Must have LA City Fire Card within 90 days of hire.
