Job Summary:
Performs ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct ultrasound examinations based on physician orders.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment with accuracy and care.
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during procedures.
- Review and analyze images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain patient records and document procedures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Stay updated with current ultrasound techniques and best practices.
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Board eligible for certification at the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Oregon Sonographer license upon hire, or Oregon Sonographer Temporary license upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
- New graduates must be board eligible and obtain certification (ARDMS) within 6 months of hire.
- New graduates must have an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Preferred:
- 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
- 2 years of OBGYN sonography experience.
- Multi-registered as a RVT and/or RDCS.
