Job Summary:
As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform sonography procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostic imaging. You will also maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and radiologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Ultrasound procedures, ensuring quality and clarity of images.
- Guide and prepare patients, addressing any questions about the procedure.
- Verify physician orders and procedures, maintain records in RIS and PACS.
- Ensure timely handling of urgent (STAT) exams.
- Troubleshoot and maintain ultrasound equipment, following manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage ULTRASOUND-related supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
- Open/close clinic locations, handle alarms, and uphold safety protocols.
- Provide backup administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma required; BS degree preferred.
- Certification: Registered with ARRT (or equivalent) or currently enrolled in an approved Ultrasound program.
- CPR Certification: Required.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and imaging procedures.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Proficiency in English (Spanish preferred).
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
- Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation is necessary for travel between locations.
