Unarmed Security Officer with sponsorship to become Armed - Valentis

Valentis currently has opportunities for Unarmed Security Officers to work in the Pittsburgh, PA area. All newly hired will be expected to become ARMED. Valentis will sponsor new hires in obtaining their ACT 235 Certification. The process to becoming Armed will start immediately.

If you are NOT interested in becoming an ARMED SECURITY OFFICER, please do not apply as this is a requirement.

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Full-time, Various shifts available.

Job Description:

• Block physical access to restricted areas.
• Patrol properties to maintain safety.
• Provide first aid or rescue assistance in emergencies.
• Maintain public order or security.
• Patrol industrial, retail or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Respond to medical emergencies by administering basic first aid or by obtaining assistance from paramedics.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.

All training will be provided.

Eligibility Requirements for Unarmed Applicants:

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must have a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED).
• Must have a Social Security card.
• A desire to become ARMED through our Program.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
