+ The Underwriting Manager will participate in development of underwriting and pricing models.
+ The Underwriting Manager will report to the Commercial Auto Insurance Product Manager and be a key member of the product launch team with responsibility for oversight of the underwriting policy, processes, compliance and results.
What you'll do...
+ Monitors and manages key aspects of the portfolio, occasionally presenting reviews to senior management and other business partners.
+ Responsible for underwriting of commercial auto insurance products.
+ Researches competitors and market conditions to develop and maintain risk selection criteria and methods that support sound risk management.
+ Oversees execution of program guidelines and ensures compliance with state regulations.
+ Liaison with MGA and other stakeholders and partners on pricing, risk assessment, underwriting policy, model development as well as operational execution.
+ Oversight of MGA on their execution of underwriting and related activities.
+ Identifies trends to address profitability challenges and opportunities while working with Sr. Leadership.
You'll have...
+ Bachelors Degree
+ Experience in underwriting analysis, preferably in the commercial auto insurance industry.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
+ Demonstrated management skills, flexibility to meet changing demands and strong decision-making ability.
+ Advanced Excel skills.
+ Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a team.
