About the role
As a Union Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing equipment, creating preventative maintenance strategies, and updating user manuals.
This job is a part of the Technical/ Engineering Services functional area which focuses on providing technical support on a variety of tasks, including performing preventive and ongoing maintenance and repairs on equipment/systems and evaluating and recommending equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield.
What you’ll do
+ Apply standard basics and techniques/procedures to do sophisticated assignments.
+ Lead others and share in-depth knowledge of field subject area.
+ Exercise judgment based on the review of many sources of information.
+ Work within broad guidelines and policies.
+ Partner with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are completed.
+ Follow up on service requests and provide customer feedback.
+ Monitor equipment and machinery performance and develop preventative maintenance measures.
+ Conduct quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment.
+ Deliver demonstrations to ensure safe effective use of equipment
+ Monitor inventory and reorder materials when needed.
+ Stay ahead of industry developments.
+ Write reports and present findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.
What You’ll Need:
+ EPA Universal and HVAC License preferred.
+ Excellent listening and customer service skills.
+ Superb work ethic and a growth mindset.
+ Membership in Local IUOE 399
