Job Description
Job Summary: Under the Director of Education, this position will be responsible for the management and support of electronic testing and educational technology for dental students and faculty within the college and ensures successful outcomes of program initiatives.
Pay band/Salary Range: UNIV 6: $45,530.00 - $64,885.00 - $84,241.00
Job Duties:
25%: Manages the electronic exam platform, ExamSoft. Under minimal supervision, trains and assists faculty and staff on educational technology systems, including but not limited to ExamSoft, Brightspace, PolicyTech, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office 365, Panopto, and CoursEval. Announces system changes and upgrades as they become available.
20%: Provides support for adoption and integration of educational technology across the college and serves as a technology consultant on academic technology. Coordinates with vendors, key users and technical staff to identify integration requirements and the impact of software upgrades on those requirements.
15%: Supports the ADA Disabilities Coordinator for the College of Dental Medicine. Reviews and upholds policies and procedures for providing individualized accommodations and equal access for students in accordance with legal requirements. Provides additional guidance for students who seek accommodations. Assists with the accommodated testing program and may assist with test proctoring and administration. Supports and educates the CDM on Digital Accessibility.
10%: Serves as liaison to the Office of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs faculty, staff and students regarding exams, curriculum scheduling, grades, exams and other student issues. Maintains and understands appropriate levels of confidentiality in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA requirements.
10%: Coordinates outcomes assessment activities with the Director of Education, course directors and faculty members at the pre- and post-doc level. Initiates routine course assessment processes and provides data reporting through CoursEval to support college-level Outcomes Assessment processes.
10%: Applies project planning and project management methodologies for assigned projects. Creates and updates appropriate procedures, instructions and rules to share knowledge and create standards for operations. Provides administrative support to the Director of Education, as needed.
5%: Supports the creation of faculty-generated multi-media content, as well as rubrics for clinical and skills-based assessments.
5%: Implements data management procedures and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Performs other duties as required.
MUSC Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:
A master's degree in education or another directly related field and two years experience in curriculum development.
