Job Description
The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks candidates to join its Community Radiology Group for its Regional Health Network as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
Its Midlands Division includes the Columbia area and consists of 3 hospitals with annual volumes of about 140,000 studies, that includes after hours and weekends. Varying shifts covering the hours of 7am – 7pm. Nighthawk service provides final reads 7 days/week from 7pm – 7am. This is an on-site position that offers shift work from home. Weekend call is shared 1:5.
Ideal Rads should be able to perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging services, Mammo, “light IR” procedures including biopsies but will consider all interested candidates.
MUSC Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree, be ABR Board-certified and fellowship trained, have experience in all aspects of general radiology, breast imaging (including ultrasounds and MR), some light interventional radiology services and must be able to obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license to be considered.
