Job Description:
Required Skills:
• 7 to 10 years of experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
• Extensive hands on experience with RedHat Linux and AIX is a must
• Hands on experience with Virtualization (VMware)
• Hands on experience with tools like Puppet/ Chef is highly desirable
• Shell scripting and/or Perl skills for system administration
• Excellent documentation skills
• Hands on experience with Client DL class, Client Blade servers and IBM P series server hardware is essential
• Ability to physically install / decommission of servers is a must
• Monitors system performance and makes suggestions to improve overall performance
• Participation in IT projects as technical lead or member based on core competencies
• Weekly "On-Call” schedule participation (once every 7 weeks)
• Keep up with industry trends and best practices
• Experience with SUN servers is preferred
• Chef or Puppet configuration management software experience is a huge plus
• Middleware Administration support for Web Methods and Web logic is highly preferred
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
