About the Job
Position Summary: The purpose of this role is to promote and coordinate the distribution of company products to the University of Nebraska campus. This role also manages the relationship with the University Athletic department, Dining services and C-stores to ensure excellent customer service. The University Manager oversees the University Customer Delivery Representatives and the Academic Grind coffee shop, including managing and evaluating the Snack Bar Attendants in order to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Salary Negotiable - starting @ $52,000
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as main point of contact for the University of Nebraska Athletic department, Dining services, and C-stores, maintain customer relationships and address any service issues
- Manage the University Delivery Customer Representatives and Snack Bar Attendants, including hiring, development, performance management and terminations
- Provide coaching, training, and motivation to new and existing University Delivery Customer Representatives
- Maintain inventory for concession stands and dining facilities by evaluating product levels, placing orders, creating sales invoices and coordinating deliveries
- Coordinate staffing for UNL football games
- Fulfill UNL website orders by creating sales invoice and delivering products to campus locations
- Perform other duties as necessary
Qualifications
- High School diploma and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities
- A valid commercial driver's license, and safe driving record
- A valid forklift operator's license
- Knowledge of general sales, account management and marketing techniques
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
- Basic knowledge of computers and handhelds
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Skills in coordinating others
- Skills in problem solving, judgement and decision making
- Skills in organizing and prioritizing work and tasks
- Ability to provide attention to detail
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to multitask
Working Environment
Work generally takes place in various locations on campus. Individuals must be able to use general office equipment, including a handheld/PC, as well as a two-wheel dolly, forklift and pallet jack.
