Commercial Sewer Job Details:
- Schedule: Hours 6am-2:45pm
- Pay Rate: $18-$23
- Sewing: Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch and assemble fabric for furniture upholstery.
- Pattern Use: Follow patterns and design specs to cut and sew fabric pieces accurately.
- Quality Check: Inspect finished upholstery for defects and ensure it meets quality standards.
- Machine Maintenance: Keep sewing machines in good working order with routine maintenance.
- Experience: Prior experience in industrial sewing, particularly in furniture or upholstery production (JUKI & CONSEW machine experience a plus).
- Skills: Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and interpreting patterns.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure precision and quality in all sewn products.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy fabrics for extended periods.
- Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a production team.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and make quick adjustments during sewing.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in sewing or upholstery is a plus.
