**Boeing Commercial Airplanes** has an exciting opportunity for a **Upholster A Technician** to join our team in **Everett** **,** **WA!**
Typically employees in this job classification perform repair work on aircraft of all upholstery types in support of repairing damaged blankets and shop defects and SOS installations, in order to provide emergent on aircraft support. Research materials and tools needed, response needed, etc.
Locate points, parts, and holes from marked or known station lines or index points. Derive measurements and related information from specifications or other information sources. Check or verify completed work against quality specifications.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Perform fabrication, assembly and/or rework processes on the airplane as necessary to repair blankets.
+ Use prints, changes, schematic drawings, documents, position boards, assembly pages, photographs, makeup charts, work orders, production illustrations etc. to accomplish the above.
+ May perform work without jigs, fixtures or tooling.
+ Provide appropriate communication on job status and completion to factory.
+ Prepare kits of materials, standards or other parts in support of the manufacturing build process.
+ Operate and work with all types of information systems to perform tracking of parts and to identify or request work priority and sequencing, including printing plots.
+ Complete pickups and authorized changes.
+ Coordinate with Engineering, tooling, Production, Planning and/or other organizations as needed to solve assembly problems.
+ Coordinate with engineering to rework and investigate discrepancies on the installation of blankets and safety pads.
+ Proof fit insulation blankets on assembly lines as required.Sequence and coordinate work activity as required depending on airplane / product availability.
+ Provide label and identifications as needed. Utilize visual controls and manufacturing load control processes to determine the plan and sequence work.
+ Request, receive, sort, package and distribute data from information systems. Incorporatechanges reflecting up-to-date information.
+ Perform pickup, rework, incorporation of changes, resolve discrepancies, etc.
+ Report and resolve job discrepancies such as errors in materials, assembly procedures, tools,boards, sequences, etc.
**This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.**
**The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.**
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Must Have experience interpreting and working from blueprints, sketches and written and verbal instructions in English.
+ Ability to partner with all levels of organization.
+ Must have experience do you have using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools.
+ Ability to lift 35 pounds.
**Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):**
+ 3 years of experience in textile fabrication.
+ 3 years of experience in aerospace industry.
**Typical Education:**
High school graduate or GED preferred.
**Relocation:**
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
**Shift:**
This position is for 2nd shift.

**Other Relevant Information & Requirements:**
+ This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.
**Summary pay range:** $19.00 - $41.62 an hour
