Urban Outfitters Buying Assistant - Women's Graphics - Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters is currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Buying Assistant to join our Women's Graphics team. In this role, you will work closely with our Buying team to support the development and execution of our Women's Graphic merchandising strategy. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for trend and a keen understanding of the Urban Outfitters aesthetic. • As a Buying Assistant for our Graphics department, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting in the procurement and selection of merchandise that aligns with our brand and resonates with our customers
• Assist in identifying and sourcing new and on-trend product for the Urban Outfitters' customer
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on the latest fashion trends and customer preferences
• Collaborate with the Buying team to develop and execute buying strategies that align with the brand's overall vision
• Coordinate and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of merchandise
• Manage purchase orders and track inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained
• Assist in creating and maintaining product assortments that appeal to the target demographic
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of purchase orders and vendor communication
• Participate in product development meetings and provide valuable insights on potential new products
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of buying and selling activities
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as Visual Merchandising and Marketing, to ensure cohesive brand messaging and presentation
• Consistently ensure that all merchandise meets quality standards and aligns with the brand's aesthetic
• Stay informed about competitors and market trends to inform buying decisions

• Conduct market analysis and identify new product opportunities to drive sales and profitability.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of purchase orders and vendor communication.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with the Buying team to ensure timely and efficient replenishment.
• Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising and Marketing teams to ensure the proper display and presentation of merchandise in stores and Ecomm.
• Participate in buying meetings and provide input on product selection and strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and cross functional team members.
• Support the Buying team in daily administrative tasks and maintain accurate buying records and reports.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and sales performance to make informed buying decisions.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Urban Outfitters brand and effectively communicate it to vendors and team members.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and offering creative ideas and solutions.
