Urban Outfitters is looking for a Home Buying intern to join us for the Summer that will support our home buying team with various tasks. The Focus will be on our Home Décor and Textiles Team and will support all functions and learn the ins and outs of the business.

The URBN 2025 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/2 through 8/8 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.
Summer Internship Program Application Process:
1. Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills. If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position. This is due at the time of your application submission.
2. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.
3. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.
Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 4th 2024.
Role Responsibilities:
- Supporting the daily operations within designated buying area and developing partnerships with the assistant and buying assistants tasks
- Sample and Picture Pack Management- Take On Photo Handoff Process to the Studio
- Learn to Entering Purchase Orders and the Purchase Order System
- Sharing and communicating thoughts/opinions to managers or business groups as a whole
- Work on Assigned Trend Projects and communicate product and business needs as it relates to the UO Customer
- Prioritizing and reacting with a sense of urgency to the requests from both the merchant and cross functional teams
- Fashion Merchandising or Retail Background Preferred
- Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills with an ability to be a self starter
- Ability to prioritize projects and multitask and extremely organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, One Drive and Powerpoint)
- Ability to grasp multiple systems quickly

Project Requirement:

Create a concept board with 3 – 5 fashion trends you see emerging for the Urban Outfitters customer in Fall 2025.
· Pull imagery from blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, runway, etc. to show your point of view – merchandisers, make it into a story!
· We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been!
