Urban Outfitters Buying Intern - Men’s and Gender Expansive Apparel - Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters is looking for a buying intern to join us for the Summer on the Men’s and Gender Expansive Apparel team. This intern would focus on the Branded team, and would be influencing branded buys in apparel product categories, and working on exclusive collections.  This person would support all buying teams relating to branded direction.

The URBN 2025 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/2 through 8/8 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.  

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

1. Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills.  If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position.  This is due at the time of your application submission.

2. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.   

3. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.    

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 4th 2024. 

• Sample Management
• Branded Buy Sheet Maintenance
• Vendor Communications
• Trend/Collection Power Point presentations
• Researching/supporting ideation of exclusive collaboration ideas
• Supporting team meetings

• Buying/Merchandising major and/or background is preferred.
• Design or creative background is a bonus, though not essential
• Passion for trends and knowledge of Brands is essential, particularly within the Mens and Gender Expansive Space
• Prior retail experience is preferred
• Experience with excel, outlook, powerpoint is a must

Project Requirement: 

In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role please submit a Trend Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred)·  Once you complete your project, please upload it to the additional documents section in the application process.

Create a concept board with 3 – 5 fashion trends you see emerging for the Urban Outfitters customer in Fall 2025.

· Pull imagery from blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, runway, etc. to show your point of view – merchandisers, make it into a story!

· We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been!
