Ferrovial U.S. Communications is responsible for raising awareness and deepening understanding of Ferrovial in the United States among investors, partners, customers, prospects, and employees, as well as promoting Ferrovial as an employer of choice. The Team develops and executes plans to engage media, promote Ferrovial thought leadership, and communicate priority themes and key messages through a mix of creative content and relevant channels, internally and externally.
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of U.S. Communications & CSR, the U.S. Internal Communications lead is responsible for defining an effective internal communications strategy that informs, engages, and inspires Ferrovial's ~4500 North American employees who work within multiple business units, on diverse projects, and in distinct geographical regions. The U.S. Internal Communications lead will develop and execute a strategic internal communications program for the United States that incorporates a mix of content and formats to resonate with employees spanning corporate offices to construction sites. They will work closely with their global internal communications colleagues to ensure clear, consistent, bi-directional communications, meaning global campaigns incorporate U.S. perspective and are tailored and delivered effectively to U.S. employees, and U.S. activities are showcased well through global channels. Their work will foster a clear understanding of Ferrovial's business and positive impact on the communities in which we operate, as well as a strong sense of 'We are Ferrovial' that spans and unifies business units and geographies.

Primary responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic internal communications plan for the United States
- Collaborate as a valued member of the Global Internal Communications Team
- Co-develop and execute integrated communications plans with their U.S. Communications Team colleagues
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders and partners across a highly matrixed organization
- Lead and contribute to the execution of the U.S. internal communications program, including producing online and offline events and content to engage employees and strengthen company culture.
- Work to unify and increase the impact of community engagement activities, in collaboration with colleagues
Skills & Experience:
- Strategic and creative thinker
- Experience developing and executing holistic plans with clear objectives
- Strong project management skills and ability to multitask
- Experience directing creative resources, with good design judgment and commitment to quality
- Willingness to roll-up-sleeves to produce content as needed, with excellent writing and editing skills and basic photography, graphic and video-editing abilities
- A spirit of experimentation and continuous improvement
- At least 5 years of experience, preferably in a multinational company with employees spanning corporate offices and work sites.
- Experience with common internal communications platforms and tools
- Experience managing an intranet.
