Ability to Work: Hybrid (personnel are authorized to work remotely part of the time, and therefore, performance may also take place at the contractor’s facilities part of the time based on the authority of the COR located in Washington, D.C.)
Clearance: Top Secret Eligible
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; the applicant must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Job Description:
The US Trade Data Analyst will support USTR’s monitoring and enforcement function by providing trade and other data analysis, specifically looking at imports, exports, investment, production, price, and corporate data. The Data Analyst will support trade enforcement and enforcement-related negotiations across sectors, product categories, regions and countries, companies, and corporate groupings. The following tasks shall be performed. Subject matter and tasking may change frequently, including multiple times per day:

Job Description:
The US Trade Data Analyst will support USTR’s monitoring and enforcement function by providing trade and other data analysis, specifically looking at imports, exports, investment, production, price, and corporate data. The Data Analyst will support trade enforcement and enforcement-related negotiations across sectors, product categories, regions and countries, companies, and corporate groupings. The following tasks shall be performed. Subject matter and tasking may change frequently, including multiple times per day:
- Data identification and analysis;
- Extensive and advanced knowledge of Excel;
- Any other knowledge of programming languages, such as Stata or Python, or visualization software, such as Tableau;
- Electronic and manual research for identified subject matter;
- Drafting memoranda and reports summarizing and/or analyzing research results;
- Assist in litigation;
- Fact and citation check;
- Prepare evidence.
- 5 years of experience as a data Analyst must demonstrate the ability to use advanced data analytics tools and perform 50% quantitative and 50% qualitative analyses.
- Degree in economics, political science, finance, international relations, data science, or related field.
- Data Analysts must be able to research, identify, prepare reports, organize, and analyze applicable global trade (including harmonized tariff system data) and other data, including leveraging USTR-procured data sources and subscriptions in support of the Interagency Center on Trade Implementation, Monitoring, and Enforcement.
- The position requires high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and work quickly and under deadlines.
